Desiree Cervantes is a creative director and designer from Modesto, California.
Desiree has a passion and drive for using design, imagination and innovation to solve complex challenges for businesses and organizations. She currently works full-time as a design and innovation manager for a large nonprofit, with a focus on digital transformation.
With over 20 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations, Desiree expertly applies design, systems and strategic thinking to transform systems and processes. She is driven to understand how people think, feel and work and ultimately, to design effective processes and systems that make people’s lives easier.
Desiree is equal parts creative muse, avant-garde thinker and professional whip cracker. She is known for for the exceptional quality of her work and for being a truth teller. Bold, fierce and authentic are words that describe her personal brand.
Desiree believes in radical honesty and creative disruption as tools for transforming and healing. As an experienced facilitator, she holds brave space for difficult conversations and works with her community in the areas of storytelling, culture change and leadership development.
Outside of work, you can find Desiree raising her neurodivergent and magical children, whom she refers to as her wild things. She’s a queer indigenous femme and proud member of the radical faery community. Desiree is also a mixed media artist, certified creativity coach and modern medicine woman with an ancestor party line.
