My Oriki (Praise Poetry)

Your personal hype mantra, spoken or sung

Last year while reading (listening) to Professional Troublemaker: The Fear Fighter Manual by Luvvie Ajayi Jones I was inspired to take the #OrikiChallenge and write my own Oriki or personal hype mantra (pictured above).

“An oríkì is a Yoruba greeting that praises you through your kinship and speaks life to your destiny. It reminds me of who I am, where I come from, and what I represent. It is a standing ovation for my spirit.” - Luvvie Ajayi Jones, awesomelyluvvie.com
